The Learning and Professional Development department is looking for highly motivated Training Programming Officers to join our Training Operations team. The aim of our department is to ensure effective and targeted delivery of training to operational and FRS staff. Both permanent and temporary opportunities currently exist within the team.

You will form part of a close-knit team, supporting the Training Programming Team Leader in the delivery of key training programmes and high-profile project work that facilitate transformation and is aligned to strategic ambitions. Your duties will include scheduling core training programmes, providing insight and consultation on courses, and ensuring our staff receive relevant learning at the right time. You will have ownership over the co-ordination of several training programmes working closely with key stakeholders across varying levels. This will require a high standard of customer care with both internal and external stakeholders.

The ideal candidate will be a confident communicator and be able to demonstrate strong administration skills, proactive problem solving and excellent attention to detail. You'll be used to working to, and delivering on, tight deadlines and be able to competently manage a busy workload. You will be able to demonstrate knowledge and proficiency in using a range of IT applications including Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, SharePoint and Teams). Overall, you'll be professional, trustworthy and enjoy a challenge!

Additional Information

In line with the Basic Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) employment checks will be completed by successful candidates, which will include a basic criminal records check. Successful candidate will be required to declare any convictions for offences which are not spent under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and any offer of employment is subject to the LFC receiving a criminal records disclosure which it considers satisfactory. Successful candidates should apply to the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) to get a copy of their criminal record and share the original disclosure certificate with the LFC. The check will only show convictions that are not ‘spent’. It will cost the successful candidates £23 (current charge) and usually takes up to 14 days.
