An opportunity has arisen within the Training Programming Team based at our Headquarters in central London, Union Street, for the role of Training Programming Officer.
The Training Programming Team’s primary function is to support the training of operational personnel, by releasing staff on Strategic Resource (SR) and Planned Release of Personnel (PROP), working closely with Babcock and the Establishment & Performance Team to ensure that the training schedule meets our business needs.
Your main responsibilities will be to assist in the development of a detailed delivery plan for SR and PROP activities as required, based on information regularly researched and updated. The expectation is you will also be able to assist the Brigade to achieve improvement in operational performance, end user satisfaction and value for money through the implementation of effective training.
You will also be required to have knowledge of Excel and other Microsoft programmes to assist you in this role.
Experience of meeting deadlines by effectively organising, planning and prioritising your work, with minimal supervision is essential for this role. You must also have good interpersonal skills to be able to build and maintain effective working relationships with others.

Assessment Overview
As part of the online application form, candidates must provide evidence to address the following criteria:
Selection Criteria 1 - Experience of organising, planning and prioritising work, with minimal supervision, to meet deadlines and standards.
Selection Criteria 2 - Experience of using a wide range of information technology applications, and in particular Excel, together with good keyboard skills and an understanding of how IT systems can be utilised in relation to the duties of this post.
Selection Criteria 3 - Good interpersonal skills in order to develop and maintain effective working relationships with staff at all levels, both internally and externally.
Selection Criteria 4 - The ability to acquire information independently, research complex matters and give concise and accurate reports.
