The London Fire Brigade’s vision is to be a world class fire and rescue service. We are now looking for an experienced Talent Manager to design and implement a new organisation-wide talent management system for the Brigade. You will have a proven track record of successfully designing and implementing talent, performance and succession planning models within a complex and diverse organisation. The role also requires experience of developing and delivering “grow your own” strategies, including Apprenticeships, leadership and similar programmes.

We require extensive experience managing and coaching senior stakeholders and supporting others to help continuously improve the brigade’s performance through its people; demonstrating the ability to effectively multitask and project manage complex technical work requirements,

Previous management experience is essential and we are looking for a positive leader to be able to manage our Career Development team to deliver people learning in an impactful way, evolving the way the brigade delivers development and adding value.

Must be able to learn things quickly and translate complex technical requirements, analysing and problem solving effectively. Dealing with trade unions and other representative bodies is highly desirable and will prove an asset in the role.

The check will only show convictions that are not ‘spent’. It will cost the successful candidates £23 (current charge) and usually takes up to 14 days.
