An opportunity has arisen to join the LFB Inclusion Team as a Strategic Inclusion Manager.
It is an exciting time to join the Brigade’s Inclusion Team, and this role would be fantastic for someone with senior experience who can drive LFB’s strategic direction in relation to the Transformation Delivery Plan and Togetherness Strategy.
The role is situated within the Cultural Change Team in People Services, and has a wide reach across the whole organisation, with lots of opportunity to influence strategy, policy, behaviour and culture, and support us to achieve our strategic inclusion goals.
If you are a knowledgeable, forward-looking individual with demonstrable experience of having oversight of diversity and inclusion at a senior level, this is a great role for you. We are looking for someone with a proven track-record in this area, who can demonstrate how they have empowered others to succeed in delivering diversity and inclusion objectives, and who has experience of having sensitive, energising conversations about the need for cultural change.
Experience in a complex, large or public sector organisation would be great, but we’re keen to hear from you if you have professional diversity and inclusion experience and a genuine ambition to drive improvements in the UK’s busiest fire and rescue service.
Our challenges are complex and vast. We serve and protect London, our communities speak over 300 languages and are some of the most diverse in Europe. We have a large, dispersed workforce and multiple challenges in delivering education, fire prevention, multi-agency work, protection and rescue across the city. This role is rewarding and high-impact, giving you regular interaction with our senior leaders and decision-makers.
We are looking for someone with excellent communication and facilitation skills, with a proven track record of influencing senior stakeholders to support them to understand their obligations under relevant legislation and policy. We are committed to supporting the workforce to be inspired by difference, and want to support every employee to understand their role in creating a culture of belonging.
