The Business Intelligence Team within the London Fire Brigade is recruiting for two (2) Research Analysts to help the Brigade collect, analyse, interpret and present statistics and research.
This is an exciting opportunity in a dynamic team to help develop the Brigade’s understanding of the world but also contribute to the body of work that the Brigade produces. You will be heavily involved in research, open data, corporate performance reporting, visualising and communicating findings and liaising with stakeholders. Assessment Overview
As part of the online application form, candidates must provide evidence to address the following criteria:
Selection Criteria 1 – Working knowledge of statistics (calculating averages, quartiles, percentage changes) and an ability to interpret and explain statistical concepts to other people.
Selection Criteria 2 - Undertaking research that involves statistical data and identifying new trends and emerging patterns.
Selection Criteria 3 - Good written communication skills in order to produce written reports that explain statistical concepts and complex analysis to non-statisticians.
Selection Criteria 4 - Good numerical skills with the ability to interpret and present statistical data and excellent attention to detail.

In line with the Basic Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) employment checks will be completed for the successful person, which will include a basic criminal records check.
