The Role

Post: Recruitment Team Leader
Salary: £34,070 - £39,197
Grade: FRS D


We are looking for a proactive and enthusiastic individual to deliver and drive forward all the recruitment processes run by the London Fire Brigade. You will be joining an established team whose function is to facilitate all of the Brigade’s recruitment activity.

You will need to be very organised with an attention to detail as you will be overseeing all of the vacancies that LFB deal with including all of the uniformed promotion rounds. You will need experience in a recruitment function as well as managing a team. Good written skills are esstential for drafting adverts, you will also need to be able to advise managers on the most suitable assessment tools in order to select the best candidates. The team will be working closely with the talent management team, so the ability to work flexibly and adapt to new approaches is key to the success of the postholder. The work will be quite demanding so you should also be both resilient and positive. The post is located in HQ but you will be required to go to the assessment centre based in Hammersmith when required.

In line with the Basic Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) employment checks will be completed for the successful person, which will include a basic criminal records check. The successful person will be required to declare any convictions for offences which are not spent under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and a Disclosure Scotland Basic disclosure will be taken before the appointment is confirmed.
