A vacancy has arisen for an experienced and qualified Programme Management Office (PMO) Analyst to work within the Strategy and Risk department who will support the PMO Manager in developing and managing portfolio, programme and project arrangements for the Brigade including the delivery of project training and development and maintenance of office systems ensuring that the Brigade is best placed to successfully manage change within the organisation.
The PMO Analyst will be responsible for developing project analytics to monitor and measure project performance, maintain the Centre of Excellence (CoE) function with the PMO and assist in the provision of support and advice to project managers.
Applicants will have to demonstrate a sound understanding of project and programme management methodologies.
They will also have experience of working flexibly in a team and responding effectively to changing priorities in order to meet deadlines or targets. Good written and verbal communication skills are essential together with strong interpersonal abilities.
PRINCE2 and P3O certifications are desirable, but not essential.

Assessment Overview
Please address the following criteria:
1.1 Experience of developing project analytics to monitor, measure and analyse project performance.
1.2 Experience of providing support on a project including giving guidance to project managers through the project lifecycle, identifying stakeholders, managing scope, monitoring and controlling risks and issues.
2.3 Well developed interpersonal skills in order to develop and maintain positive and effective working relationships with clients, service providers and colleagues.
3.1 An understanding of the principles, methods, techniques and tools for the effective management of projects from initiation through to implementation.
Additional Information
In line with the Basic Personnel Security Standard (BPSS), employment checks will be completed for the successful person, which will include a basic criminal records check.
