The Role
A vacancy has arisen for a FRS C post in Special Operations Group in Operational Resilience.
Reporting to the Planning Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring that all key projects and work streams within Special Operations Group have the appropriate administrative support. Your role will also be supporting the NILO coordination office with the Deputy Assistant Commissioner and FRS E. This role requires someone to have excellent communication skills as you will be in contact with NILOs from across the country, including regional NILO leads and representatives from the NILO training course.
The successful candidate must have excellent workload management and ensure that they can appropriately prioritise their workload according to what projects and tasks require their attention. They must ensure that they provide an effective and efficient administrative support to the management team in Operational Resilience.
The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that the NILO national database and associated resilience direct NILO pages are managed and maintained appropriately, ensuring that they are up to date at all times. This will include preparing NILO information notes, uploading information and setting up sub pages on the resilience direct site in order to share sensitive information within the NILO network.

Assessment Overview

1.1 Experience of providing an effective and efficient secretarial service to senior management.
2.2 Good written and oral communication skills in order to draft both routine and more complex correspondence, and to liaise effectively with staff at all levels.
2.3 Good organisational skills in order to manage and prioritise workloads and to ensure deadlines are met.
3.3 An understanding of the need to maintain appropriate confidentiality within the policies of the Brigade and the legal requirements of the Data Protection Act and Freedom of Information Act.
