We are recruiting a Leadership Development Advisor within the People Services department. The successful candidate will support the Group Commander within the Centre of Leadership. This is an integral role that will support day to day centre of excellence in leadership as well as delivering on key projects.
The role is varied and will encompass project management ensuring plans are created, administered, and managed with risks and updates shared with stakeholders. This role will also conduct organisation and individual group skills gap analysis to identify leadership development opportunities. They will formulate plans that focus on these gaps and implement with relevant signoff. The candidate could design bespoke leadership workshops or implement required leadership inventions depending on business need. They will work closely with the Top Managers Group (TMG) and this will be of specific focus including analysis, design, managing supplier briefs and curating a series of TMG events. The events will drive togetherness and engagement whilst also inspiring and focusing them on personal and team development.
In addition, the candidate will own the communications plan that will focus the organisation on all activity in the leadership team. They will create regular communications to the organisation on new news and sharing of tools and topics around leadership best practises.
The candidate will also be a qualified coach and mentor to the organisation and coach up to three employees at any given time following the coaching and mentoring guidelines.
The successful candidate will have had experience in project managing, leadership development and coaching. They will ideally have experience of working within a complex organisation with a dispersed workforce and be highly skilled at managing stakeholders.

Assessment Overview
The candidate, will need to meet the following criteria:
• Accredited coach and mentor
• Extensive experience in a leadership role or leadership development role
• Detailed understanding of learning principles and practises
• Detailed understanding of leadership needs, challenges and required outcomes.

Additional Information
In line with the Basic Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) employment checks will be completed by successful candidates, which will include a basic criminal records check. Successful candidate will be required to declare any convictions for offences which are not spent under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and any offer of employment is subject to the LFC receiving a criminal records disclosure which it considers satisfactory. Successful candidates should apply to the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) to get a copy of their criminal record and share the original disclosure certificate with the LFC. The check will only show convictions that are not ‘spent’. It will cost the successful candidates £23 (current charge) and usually takes up to 14 days.
