An exciting opportunity has arisen at the London Fire Brigade for a Infrastructure Compliance & Support Manager.

The Infrastructure Compliance and Support Manager will be the technical lead role responsible for supporting the Brigades server environment, ensuring the server and client infrastructure is fully supported, modern and compliant to Cyber Essentials standards.

Successful candidates should have experience in the following technical subject matters:

• Current Microsoft Server Operating Systems
• Current Microsoft Client Operating Systems
• Microsoft System Centre Suite of products
• Microsoft Active Directory Services
• Backup and Recovery tools
• Microsoft O365
• Infrastructure Security Products

Assessment Overview

Stage 1

1. Experience of managing and motivating specialist technical staff, allocating them work, setting priorities and ensuring they are trained and developed to their full potential.

2. Experience of supporting, developing and/or maintaining a server environment in a large multi-user organisation with experience on at least six of the following:

• VMware 7.0 or above including VSAN
• Disaster Recovery Planning and Implementation
• Microsoft Hyper-V server 2019 or above
• Microsoft Active Directory
• Current Microsoft Server platforms
• Current Microsoft Client platforms
• Microsoft Exchange 2016 or above
• Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager
• Microsoft System Center Operations Manager
• Server Hardware Support on HP Proliant and/or Dell PowerEdge servers
• Cloud Technology (Microsoft Azure/O365)
• Scripting
• Infrastructure Security Products

3. In depth, demonstrable experience of implementing infrastructure changes in a Microsoft Server environment of a similar sized company. (5000+ user base)

4. Experience of keeping servers and services in an on premise and cloud based mixed environment fully up to date and patched, preferably to Cyber Essentials Standards.
