Starting salary: £34,751
Salary range for the FRS D grade: £34,751 - £39,981
An opportunity has become available to join the HR Employment Relations section in the role of HR Helpdesk Team Leader.
Providing a comprehensive HR advisory service to a wide range of customers, you will ensure that they receive advice in accordance with the policies and procedures of the Brigade and in line with best practice and to manage a generic team of support staff providing admin support across the whole People Services Advice and Employee Relations Division.
Working on a busy helpdesk, you will need to have experience in providing HR advice to staff at all levels including managers, together with a good working knowledge of current employment legislation. Good communication and interpersonal skills will be essential in order to deal with enquires and deliver briefing sessions when required.

Selection Criteria 1 - Experience of providing HR advice to staff at all levels including managers, together with a good working knowledge of current employment legislation.
Selection Criteria 2 - Experience of setting up and developing administrative systems to manage workloads and, identify priorities to ensure successful delivery of business objectives.
Selection Criteria 3 - Effective oral communication skills in order to liaise with staff at all levels, deal with external enquiries and to deliver briefing sessions as required.
Selection Criteria 4 - Knowledge of, or the ability, to quickly acquire knowledge of the terms and conditions of employment relating to both uniformed and non-uniformed staff.
