London Fire Brigade (LFB) is London’s Fire and Rescue Service – one of the largest firefighting and rescue organisations in the world. We are here to make London a safer city.

This is an exciting time to join the Brigade and be part of the change we are creating. The HR Business Partner is a new role to the organisation and, working closely with the Senior HR Business Partners, is integral to supporting departmental heads through the use of data to identify and target potential areas of concern and understand risks and issues. This role will also support with the delivery of training for staff following data and insights gathered across quantitative and qualitative data sources.
As part of the HR Business Partnering Team, and working closely with the Senior HR Business Partner for your business area, you will support the development and delivery of the People Strategy for that business area, using insights gained through data analysis and stakeholder engagement to flag risks and opportunities. You will have experience in identifying trends and working collaboratively to explore solutions to complex problems.
You will have excellent interpersonal and people skills to develop and maintain positive and effective working relationships with senior leaders in the business and subject matter experts across HR and other enabling functions.

Assessment Overview
Stage 1

1. Providing both high quality and consistent advice and guidance to managers on complex HR matters with an early intervention initiative approach in mind.
2. Gathering feedback and providing insight across a range of sources, from qualitative information from managers through to data and insight from HR management information.
3. Working with a range of HR systems and teams to create holistic reports of data and insights to improve management capability and outcomes.
4. Creation of engaging content and having facilitated meetings with a range of stakeholders, including running workshops to develop management skills to deliver against.

Criminal records check
