An opportunity has become available to join the People Services department in the role of Health and Absence Management Assistant.
Working in a busy team you will be responsible for providing a high level of customer service to a wide range of stakeholders, including station based staff, Fire and Rescue Support Staff (FRS), control staff and external customers.
The responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, arranging medical appointments, monitoring the provision of medical certificates and producing correspondence relating to sick pay entitlement. These duties will be undertaken whilst adhering to the Brigade’s policies and procedures, specifically the managing attendance policy.
Good communication and interpersonal skills will be essential in order to deal with enquires and maintain a close working relationship with the Brigade’s occupational health provider.

Assessment Overview

Selection Criteria 4 - An understanding of the reasons for the need to maintain appropriate confidentiality and security of data and other sensitive material, and how this can be achieved in an office environment.
