The Role
London Fire Brigade are currently recruiting to the role of Group Manager.

Salary range £59152.00 - £65786.00
Eligibility
To apply for the role you must be a substantive competent Operational Station Manager.
Assessment Overview
Your application should include:
1. Your CV;
2. Your personal statement evidencing why you feel you are ready to be a Group Manager and your suitability to be considered for the role. Your statement should not exceed 1500 words.
Please note that your CV and personal statement should be saved into a single Word or Pdf document. You will need to upload your document in the CV section of the application form.
Assessment Process
The GM Assessment Centre will comprise the following stages (Please note that each stage will be used as a sift):
Stage 1:
Knowledge Test, which will be based on the attached bibliography, scheduled to commence from 02 January 2018. You are advised to start preparing for your knowledge test straight away.
Candidates who pass the knowledge test will then have their applications shortlisted. If successful at shortlist, candidates will be invited to stage 2 of the process.
Stage 2:
Written Exercise, Role Play and Interview, scheduled to commence late January/early February 2018.
Stage 3:
Incident Command Exercise , scheduled to commence late February 2018

Additional Information
In line with the Basic Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) employment checks will be completed for the successful person, which will include a basic criminal records check. The successful person will be required to declare any convictions for offences which are not spent under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and a Disclosure Scotland Basic Disclosure will be undertaken before an appointment is confirmed.
