An exciting opportunity has arisen at the London Fire Brigade for a Fleet Compliance Officer to work in the small friendly Technical Service and Support team within the wider Property/TSS department managing the compliance of vehicles within the LFB fleet.
All vehicles and equipment are serviced and repaired by Babcock who are an external contractor with a long-term contract with LFB, as such the successful candidate will be required to liaise and work closely with internal and external stakeholders.
As the Fleet Compliance Officer, you will provide professional fleet administration support ensuring best value from operation, maintenance and repair of vehicles and operational equipment supplied under the contract. In addition, you will be responsible for monitoring and reporting on the contractor’s performance and compliance with planned events, scheduled programmes and fleet management process against contractual requirements, legislated obligations, and good industry practice.
Applicants will need to be able to work flexibly and work well as part of a team being adaptable to changing demands.
This vacancy is open to both internal and external candidates. This role is a full-time role is based at Union Street/Home working and involves occasional travel to any of LFB’s fire stations, Ruislip Workshops and strategic partner locations
