London Fire Brigade is looking for an exceptional executive assistant to support one of the Directors. If you are a highly organised, motivated, energetic, positive and experienced executive assistant with great multitasking skills then this could be your opportunity to be part of a great organisation that makes a real difference to peoples lives.
As an exceptionally organised people-person you thrive off ensuring the i’s are dotted and the t’s are crossed, and you enjoy creating order out of chaos. You love juggling a multitude of different things at one time, you can anticipate potential problems and avoid them, but once a problem occurs, you can think of several ways to positively address the problem.
Ideally we are looking for someone with a proven track record in this field and are able to communicate both verbally and in writing to a high standard. You can manage your time effectively; you are great at juggling your tasks and priorities and that of those around you. The ability to deal with people at all levels, including politicians and seconding guessing the needs of the Director at all times would prove a great asset in this role.

Assessment for this role is due to place late-September 2020. Please be advised that if you are unable to make the scheduled assessment date, we may not be able to make alternative arrangements.
Please note: Should you be shortlisted and because of the current Covid-19 situation you will need to be able to conduct an interview over a video conferencing service such as Zoom or Microsoft Teams. You will be asked to provide relevant contact details for that to take place if shortlisted.
Additional Information
In line with the Basic Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) employment checks will be completed by successful candidates, which will include a basic criminal records check. Successful candidate will be required to declare any convictions for offences which are not spent under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and any offer of employment is subject to the LFC receiving a criminal records disclosure which it considers satisfactory. Successful candidates should apply to the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) to get a copy of their criminal record and share the original disclosure certificate with the LFC. The check will only show convictions that are not ‘spent’. It will cost the successful candidates £23 (current charge) and usually takes up to 14 days.
