The Role
There is a vacancy for an Employee Relations Assistant working in HR Advice and Employee Relations. In this position you will provide support across the range of industrial and employment relations functions, ensuring an effective service is provided to customers.
Working flexibly, you will provide general HR advice and guidance to managers and staff, arrange meetings and take minutes, and will be responsible for managing spreadsheets and databases.
Liaising with a wide range of customers your excellent communication skills will be valued in this role. You will be highly organised, enabling you to manage your workload and contribute to projects, and you will possess effective analytical skills. With experience of using IT applications you will also have an awareness of relevant employment legislation.
Please note: When providing support to the HR Helpdesk the post holder will be expected to work 9am – 5pm.

Selection Criteria 1 - Effective written and oral communication skills in order to draft correspondence and to provide advice and information to staff at all levels.
Selection Criteria 2 - Good interpersonal skills in order to develop and maintain effective working relationships at all levels and to demonstrate tact and discretion when dealing with sensitive issues.
Selection Criteria 3 -Experience of using information technology applications together with good keyboard skills and an understanding of the ways in which IT applications can be utilised in a HR environment.
Selection Criteria 4 - Good organisational skills in order to manage workloads, contribute to projects and meet deadlines, as required.
