As London Fire Brigade (LFB) begins the next decade with a new Commissioner and a new organisational strategy, employee engagement is at the top of the agenda. This post holder will play a central role supporting projects to improve employee engagement and drive improvement across the organisation.

We are looking for a highly motivated, resilient individual, with a positive attitude who is comfortable navigating complex environments. Working across the Brigade’s teams, the successful candidate will be a natural problem solver who shape and influence change at all levels of the organisation. This person will also be a highly flexible team-player, primarily supporting initiatives in the Cultural Change Team and other critical projects across People Services.

The post-holder will be expected to work across London and is based in Union Street, Southwark. As well as data-handling and project management, the successful candidate will be a strong communicator delivering presentations to a diverse range of audiences across the Brigade.

Additional Information

In line with the Basic Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) employment checks will be completed by successful candidates, which will include a basic criminal records check. Successful candidate will be required to declare any convictions for offences which are not spent under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and any offer of employment is subject to the LFC receiving a criminal records disclosure which it considers satisfactory. Successful candidates should apply to the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) to get a copy of their criminal record and share the original disclosure certificate with the LFC. The check will only show convictions that are not ‘spent’. It will cost the successful candidates £23 (current charge) and usually takes up to 14 days.
