The Role

Post: Digital Print Manager
Grade: FRS C
Starting salary: £29,244 per annum
Salary range for the FRS C grade: £29,244 - £35,107 per annum

The delivery of high quality digital print services is crucial to managing and coordinating the workflow of various projects across the Brigade.

In this key role, you will manage the professional delivery of all day-to-day digital print-based projects through the effective use of budget, staff and equipment whilst simultaneously maintaining quality control systems across all aspects of the service including corporate identity and brand management .

To succeed, you will have excellent experience of hands-on working in similar print environments with a sound understanding and working knowledge of all relevant machinery, programmes and software including all Microsoft packages. Experience of managing staff including staff development is a key part of the role as is liaising with internal and external clients and partners.

Additionally, you will have good time management and organisational skills, the ability to prioritise tasks to meet deadlines/targets. You will also have demonstrable skills to communicate and build efficient working relationships with staff throughout the Brigade maintaining good customer care practice at all times.

Selection criteria 1 - Excellent hands on working Experience of working within a bulk digital print environment operating the equipment machinery listed above to produce and deliver good quality print on time, as requested and within budget and resources. To maintain and manage the printers and finishing equipment, to liaise with clients, external suppliers and contractors, and to set and maintain quality control procedures. To have good working experience of maintaining an organisation’s corporate identity.

Selection criteria 2 - Excellent working experience of managing staff including staff performance and development and to support career aspirations.

Selection criteria 3 - Good interpersonal skills in order to develop and maintain effective working relationships with staff throughout the Brigade ensuring high standards of customer care at all times.

Selection criteria 4 - Evidence of working with and managing brand identities, including. Excellent attention to detail, accuracy and ability to proof read speedily and effectively.
