An opportunity has arisen to join the Development & Maintenance of Operational Professionalism (DaMOP) team as a project support officer.
The successful candidate will be a part of a team responsible for delivering a key corporate project that will provide competency frameworks for a range of staff groups across the Brigade . Supporting the Project Manager, responsibilities will include preparing update reports, data analysis, and taking minutes at meetings. There will also be an opportunity to be involved in staff engagement activities. We are looking for a person with good communication and interpersonal skills, as well as someone who has an attention to detail in order to deal high volumes of work with conflicting demands and changing priorities. The position is based at Union Street within the Training & Professional Development department.

Assessment Overview
As part of the online application form, candidates must provide evidence to address the following criteria:
Selection Criteria 1 - Experience of organising, planning and prioritising work in order to meet deadlines and targets.
Selection Criteria 2 - Experience of using a wide range of information technology applications including email, spreadsheets, databases, presentations and records management software.
Selection Criteria 3 - Good organisational and time management skills to control workload, respond to changing priorities and ensure deadlines are met. Good interpersonal and communication skills to maintain effective working relationships with people internally and externally; explain processes and issues to staff at all levels and to draft non standard correspondence, minutes, briefing notes and reports.
Selection Criteria 4 - Strong analytical and numerical skills in order to undertake research and provide concise findings to interpret plans and dependencies to aid decision making; identify solutions to complex problems; monitor budgets and provide statistical information.
