An opportunity has arisen within Fire Safety Regulation for a business engagement co-ordinator. This role will require the establishment and implementation of a framework to proactively engage with businesses subject to compliance with the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005. This framework would assist the London Fire Brigade in reaching a wider business audience to promote fire safety compliance, business continuity and resilience messaging.
Under direction of the line manager, the individual will create a strategic plan for business engagement undertaken by fire safety advisors and identifying best practice in the sector. The work strand will also see the creation of guidance and toolkits for fire safety staff on business engagement, whilst monitoring work streams to ensure targets are met and provide reports to management at set intervals. The role will require the Business Engagement Co-ordinator to liaise with internal departments and external organisations in promoting and developing business engagement throughout the London area.
The individual must be able to work on your initiative, have a good understanding and previous experience of working in a similar environment. They will be required to demonstrate strong organisational, interpersonal and communication skills to provide presentations and reports as required.
The role will be supporting CRMP.

Additional Information
In line with the Basic Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) employment checks will be completed by successful candidates, which will include a basic criminal records check. Successful candidate will be required to declare any convictions for offences which are not spent under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and any offer of employment is subject to the LFC receiving a criminal records disclosure which it considers satisfactory. Successful candidates should apply to the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) to get a copy of their criminal record and share the original disclosure certificate with the LFC. The check will only show convictions that are not ‘spent’. It will cost the successful candidates £23 (current charge) and usually takes up to 14 days.
