London Fire Brigade (LFB) is London’s Fire and Rescue Service – one of the largest firefighting and rescue organisations in the world. We are here to make London a safer city.
We employ over 5,500 people, across our operational team (our firefighters), control (our call handlers who answer your 999 calls) and our non-operational team (our teams who work behind the scenes to support our front-line services, including HR, IT, Finance, Procurement, Communications etc.).
An opportunity has arisen within the DEI team, for the role of DEI Programme Manager who will be the backbone of the team, with exceptional organisational skills and a flair for creativity, who possesses exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, in order to effectively engage with a wide range of stakeholders at all levels, both internally and externally.
We are looking for an experienced, adaptable, proactive, innovative and detail-oriented individual with an eye for detail and the ability to manage calendars, handle administrative tasks, and support the multi-disciplined activities across the team.
The role requires a dedicated and organised individual to play a pivotal role in coordinating and managing our workload, offering innovative solutions helping to continuously improve the culture of our organisation.
Proficiency in basic computer applications such as MS Office applications, including Word, Excel spreadsheets, PowerPoint presentations, email, and internet browsing is essential.

Assessment Overview
Stage 1

1. Producing written material for a wide range of stakeholders, including educational material, reports, briefings and corporate communications.
2. Good interpersonal skills to develop and maintain effective working relationships at all levels and to demonstrate tact and discretion when dealing with sensitive issues.
3. Experience of project management including internal and external senior stakeholders.
4. An understanding of the Equality Act 2010, and/or the Public Sector Equality Duty (PSED) and how to apply it in different situations.
