The Role
Babcock International are seeking enthusiastic, committed and flexible operational personnel to work on the London Fire Brigade training contract on a secondment basis.
Applications are invited from competent Firefighters, Crew and Watch Managers. Successful candidates will be seconded to Watch Manager A Specialist roles.
Extensive training will be given to seconded staff to develop their skill sets and to work towards becoming specialists across a range of competencies, in particular:
Firefighter Development Training
Breathing Apparatus Training
Transport Training
Urban Search and Rescue Training
There will also be an opportunity to gain an adult learning qualification plus an accredited assessor qualification. We are seeking applicants who are committed to attaining these qualifications and are prepared to provide evidence of their personal development journey.
Successful applicants will be expected to work flexibly (42 hours per week), this may include evening and weekend working across different training venues throughout Greater London including Beckton, Park Royal and Plaistow.
Please note that this is a 2 year secondment and any offer would be subject to a 1 month probation period. After the probation period, and upon accepting the position, you will lose your base posting.
Salary: Watch Manager A £38,906 - £40,747.

Shortlisted applicants will be invited to attend an assessment with both Babcock and LFB Managers. Assessments are due to take place week commencing 19th February 2018.
