The London Fire Brigade is recruiting an Administration and Purchasing Assistant.

The work offers the right candidate the opportunity to join a growing procurement team handling a range of purchasing arrangements to support operational and support staff activities of the LFB. The post holder will undertake: administration and support within the Assets and Estates category which forms part of the Technical and Commercial function; process routine requests for quotations for a range of category specific items, as well as purchasing work. The duties also include supporting the work of our procurement managers in larger procurements and contracts management activities for our strategic contracts. The role also provides support to our many clients who raise requisitions with raising and managing purchase orders helping to ensure the efficient operation of fire stations and other LFB buildings.

There are opportunities for on the job development as well as opportunities for sponsored professional studies such as courses and development provided by the Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply .

The check will only show convictions that are not ‘spent’. It will cost the successful candidates £23 (current charge) and usually takes up to 14 days.
