Grade: FRS C
Starting salary: £29,244 per annum
Salary range for the FRS C grade: £29,244 - £35,107 per annum

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Establishment and Performance Team which is based at Stratford Fire Station. The position is a generic post and the post holder will be expected to be flexible and able to cover any of the posts within the department, these duties include maintaining senior officer availability, determining and arranging requirements for pre-arranged overtime, balancing skills and establishment across our fire stations, maintaining trade union and health and safety facilities, dealing with Strategic Resource and Planned release of personnel (PROP), liaising with our training assurance department and carrying out checks and balances of training provided by our provider. However predominantly this post holder will deal with Strategic resource and PROP.

The ideal candidate will have experience of working to deadlines, able to communicate effectively as there will be a need to talk to staff at all levels and deal with telephone enquiries. A thorough working knowledge of StARS will be an advantage as would experience of using Microsoft Excel. You will need to be flexible and the working day will be arranged between 0800 and 1700hrs.

Assessment Overview

As part of the online application form, candidates must provide evidence to address the following criteria:

Selection Criteria 1 - Experience of organising, planning and prioritising own work and that of others, meeting deadlines and targets while working flexibly within a team.

Selection Criteria 2 - Experience of using a range of software applications and packages together with good keyboard skills and an understanding of how IT systems can be utilised in relation to the duties of the post.

Selection Criteria 3 - Experience of working with figures, preparing and interpreting statistical and financial information.

Selection Criteria 4 - Experience of liaising effectively and confidently with staff at all levels.
