So, you've found a job that you're interested in and you're wondering what the next steps of the application are. Follow the steps to make sure you tick all the boxes when completing your application.
  • View all jobs

Once you have found a job you're interested in click on 'apply now'. This will load the online application form which you will need to complete and submit in order to apply.

  • Your application

To apply you will need to complete each section on the form, making sure that you complete all the marked mandatory fields (required) before progressing to the next page or before moving back to a previous page. You will find instructional text at the top of each section and help buttons next to each field on the form.

  • Follow the guidance

For most vacancies you will need to complete selection criteria relevant to the job. Guidance is provided within the application form and responses to each criteria will be restricted by a word limit.

  • Save and continue later

You can save and return to your application form at any time, but you must submit your form before or on the closing date advertised. You will not be able to submit a form once the job has closed.

If you want to save a part completed form you will be prompted to enter your email address. You will then receive an email with a link to resume your application and a secure access code to complete it at a later time, before the closing date.

  • Answering the application criteria

Each role will have different criteria to answer. There will be a character limit that you cannot exceed. It is important that you are aware that each criteria box on the application is mandatory and therefore you cannot save your criteria page until you have entered text into each box. You can go back and edit this page as many times as you wish until you submit your form.

Please also be aware that if you are copying from a word document, our online form does not follow the same word count rules. You must make sure that your responses do not include any double spacing (either between words or after punctuation) or paragraphs. If you have problems saving your response, then it is likely that at least one of the criteria boxes is either over the word limit, or has double spacing paragraphs. Even if the application is showing that you still have remaining words left, if there are double spaces, this will affect the application form saving.

  • Submitting your application

Once you have completed your form you will need to press the 'submit' button. Please note that once your form has been submitted you will not be able to make any changes to it, even before the closing date of the job.

When you submit you will receive notification that your form has been submitted successfully. Please do not log out of the system until you are happy that you have this. If you do not receive a confirmation message your form has not been submitted and it is possible that there is an error on your form, which you will need to check and correct before submitting.

You will also need to upload proof that you meet the eligibility criteria (Qualifications and proof of residency). Please note if you do not attach these upon submission of your application form, you will not be considered for the role.

We do not accept late or un-submitted application forms after the closing date and time, irrespective of the reason. It is therefore your responsibility to ensure that your are in receipt of the confirmation email before the vacancy closes. To avoid disappointment we recommend that you submit your form in good time.

  • Withdrawing your application

Should you wish to withdraw your application after the closing date please click on the 'manage your data' at the bottom of your confirmation email.
