To be eligible to apply for this role you must be a station-based Firefighter serving as a whole time officer in a UK local authority fire and rescue service who is competent including Unit 9 (FF9-Driving).

Please note that confirmation of competency in all units will be required, if you do not currently have all units complete we will be unable to employ you.

Assessment Process
Please note that the assessment process is sequential – therefore stage 1 must be passed in order to progress to interview.

Stage 1: An online Firefighter Behavioural Style Questionnaire and an online Situational Judgement Test.

Stage 2: Shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend an interview.

Please be advised that if you are unable to make the scheduled assessment dates, we may not be able to make alternative arrangements.

In line with the Basic Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) employment checks will be completed for the successful person, which will include a basic criminal records check. The successful person will be required to declare any convictions for offences which are not spent under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and a Disclosure Scotland Basic Disclosure will be undertaken before an appointment is confirmed.
